Aloo gobi is a popular combination all over India. Aloo translates to potato and gobi translates to Cauliflower. But this recipe is with a twist and that’s Aloo gobi in form of a crispy snack.
Croquettes is a comfort snack which we can quickly prepare and enjoy in the evenings with a hot cup of ginger tea.

Ingredients
The Gobi stuffing
- Oil – 1 tbs
- Cumin seeds – 1 Tsp
- Onion – 1 small sliced
- Green chilli – 1 finely chopped
- Ginger garlic paste – 1/4th tsp
- Salt – to taste
- Boiled cauliflower finely chopped – 1 Medium
- Turmeric powder – 1/4th tsp
- Chilli powder – 1 tsp
- Capsicum – 1 small
- Spring onions – 2-3
The outer covering
- Boiled onions – 4 (Medium)
- Chilli powder – 1 Tsp
- Garam masala – 1 pinch
- Turmeric powder – 1 pinch
- Chat masala – 1/2th tsp
- Salt – to taste
- Breadcrumbs – to coat
- Oil – to deep fry

Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
First boil the potatoes and cool and boil cauliflower and cool as well.
Step 2
In a hot pan add oil, crackle the cumin seeds, add green chillies, sliced onions, ginger-garlic paste, boiled cauliflower, dry masalas and cook well with 3-4 spoons of water.
Step 3
Once water is evaporated & cauliflower cooked add finely chopped capsicum and spring onions. And set this mixture to cool.
Step 4
Take boiled potatoes in a bowl, add in the dry masalas and mash smooth with no lumps.
Step 5
Oil your palms and take a lemon sized ball in your hand and flatten it place your cooled gobi mixture like a line in middle and start covering with the potato outer covering. Shape it in cylindrical.
Step 6
Coat with bread crumbs and shallow fry until crispy.
